Are you looking to upgrade ergonomic equipment? We can help with that! Development of an online educational course that you can provide to your employees on your own time. This will address low-hanging fruit relatable to your specific work environment and their work needs. Educational material may also include the development of infographic material to be displayed throughout the workplace for visual reinforcement of material
Providing an employee discomfort survey will help prioritize the type of level of ergonomic intervention your office requires. The most severe survey results may require a full one-on-one office ergonomic assessment, while the remainder of staff may only require a training presentation for injury prevention and wellness promotion in the workplace.
Danielle Manzano, Doctor of Occupational Therapy, has worked over 7 years in the hospital setting predominantly with individuals who have undergone spine or joint replacement surgeries. Her passion for ergonomics was sparked when she noted the clear gap in injury prevention in the workplace. Currently , Way to Ergo is not accepting payment through health insurance. Ergonomic assessments tend to be the employers' responsibility (staying adherent to OSHA requirements). There are times when employers will not pay for ergonomic assessment. If you cannot pay out-of-pocket, we recommend assessing if your health savings account (HSA) covers ergonomic assessments/interventions. You can contact your company to inquire if HSA covers the cost of an ergonomic assessment.
It depends on how many ergonomic assessments are conducted and whether you have chosen to have a follow-up educational service for all staff or on an individual basis. Our goal is to have our report and presentation completed within two weeks.
